Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

Moyan AI (Kerala, India) operates Moyan SEE and decides how personal data of account holders and meeting participants is processed. Contact us at yousufvalakkulam@gmail.com for any privacy question or request.

2. Data we collect and why

• Account data — name, email address, login credentials (stored hashed), plan and role. Used to create and secure your account and provide the service. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Meeting data — room codes, display names, join and leave times, chat messages, poll answers, whiteboard content, raised hands and reactions. Used to run the meeting and show hosts attendance and engagement. Legal basis: contract performance.
• Audio and video streams — transmitted peer-to-peer between participants to hold the meeting. We do not store your meeting media; recordings are written directly to storage you control.
• API and usage data — API keys, request counts and timestamps, feature usage. Used to enforce plan limits, bill overages and prevent abuse. Legal basis: contract performance and our legitimate interest in service integrity.
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, error and security logs. Used for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — the content of enquiries you send us, used to answer them. Legal basis: legitimate interests and contract performance.
• Marketing — where you opt in, your email address to send product updates. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.

Payment card details are never collected or seen by us: they are handled directly by Paddle.

3. Who we share data with

• Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, which sells our product, manages subscriptions, payments, invoicing and tax compliance, and handles refunds.
• Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database and authentication infrastructure, email delivery, and error monitoring, acting on our instructions under contract.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting and audit advisers where necessary.
• Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal data.

4. International transfers

Our infrastructure and providers may process data outside your country, including in the EEA, UK, US and India. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and for up to 12 months after closure, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax or dispute purposes. Ephemeral meeting content such as chat, polls and whiteboard state exists only for the duration of the session. Attendance and API usage records are kept for up to 12 months for reporting and billing. After these periods data is deleted or anonymised.

6. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, row-level access controls in our database, role-based administrative access and scoped API keys. Meeting media travels encrypted between participants.

7. Your rights

Subject to the law applying to you, you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, and portability of data you provided; you may also withdraw consent at any time. Write to yousufvalakkulam@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your device and audio preferences, and protect against abuse. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though sign-in will stop working without the essential ones.

9. Children

Moyan SEE is not directed at children under 16. Where it is used in an educational setting, the institution is responsible for obtaining any consent required.

We will post updates to this notice on this page and revise the "last updated" date.
